Sweet Tooth

Re-contextualized pre-recorded music with correct legal synchronization rights enabling the director to enter festivals using professional music with no sound budget
Music Editing
Working with animators, film directors, artists and musicians has trained me to anticipate the unexpected; such as having rental equipment fail on a film shoot, or having to synthesize multiple opinions with an ear for diplomacy. In each instance, I found myself managing teams and helping other people realize their creative visions. The director, Lindsay Bodanza, yearned to submit her film to festivals, however as a student she possessed no sound budget for synchronization rights of copyrighted music. Fortunately, the Savannah College of Art and Design owned a blanket license to the Dewolfe Production Music library, which would enable Lindsay to use professional quality music while maintaining her budget requirement. Even though the DeWolfe music library was professional, it still possessed limitations. This required creative applications of sound design and music theory. The result is a mischievous example of how the intimate relationship between sound and image can synthesis into new meanings.
The young girl, Madeline, is searching for something new to bring to show and tell instead of her usual toy bear, Bobo.
